VRRP - Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol è il tipo di protocollo di ridondanza non proprietario.VRRP si basa sui concetti del protocollo HSRP, proprietario Cisco, rendendolo standar. I protoccoli sono simili ma non interoperabili.
